About

The Bluebell Partnership was founded by Catherine Oliver in 2017 with the aim of helping working parents and women in leadership reach their full potential. Catherine is also the founder of Parents@Sky and the co-founder of Sky plc’s Women in leadership initiative.

It is Catherine's ambition to truly level the playing field for working parents and women in leadership in the UK. To make a material difference. Catherine is an independent advisor and regular speaker at industry events. She is also taking steps to get involved in government work believing driving real change will require a combination of supporting individual businesses and policy change at a national level.

Catherine began her career in marketing. Her first role was in PR for Cable & Wireless Communications followed by Brand Management at the New Covent Garden Soup Company. She spent the next 10 years specialising in digital marketing, leading teams at the IoD and global recruitment firm Robert Walters, before joining Sky in 2009.

Catherine was at Sky for 7 years, most recently as Senior Manager for Group Strategy. Her role involved working at Exec level on major change projects including developing the operating model for new launches like Sky Mobile and Sky Store.

During her time there, she also became mum to a little girl and subsequently founded and ran Sky’s parenting network, Parents@Sky. Parents@Sky now has c.1500 members and a programme of activity including regular workshops, webinars, events and a website all overseen by a team of volunteers.

She was also a founding member of its Women in Leadership initiative. Sky is targeting a 50/50 split at senior management level through a combination of measures aimed at the attraction, retention and progression of female talent.  Off the back of these initiatives Sky won the 2016 Working Mum's Overall Top Employer Award and made The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list in both 2016 and 2017.
